This Month I wrote my last Preschool check ever. It was bitter-sweet. I'm not ready to see my last child off to Kindergarten. I LOVE having Sophia home with me. She always takes me by surprise and puts a smile on my face with the things she says and does. Her comments are always so funny, and her love for singing and dancing no matter the place or time, keeps me smiling. Sophia, on the other hand, is ecstatic to go off to Kindergarten. She was so happy to finish Preschool. Her last day of preschool was celebrated with a swim party. She had fun playing in the Splash Pad of one of her preschool friends backyards. When we left she said, "Now I go to Kindergarten." Sophia met her Enrichment teacher for Kindergarten. She is retired teacher (but my age) who does it out of her house. It's a nice substitute to the Enrichment the school offers because it's only a 4 to 1 ratio and since it's not through the school she isn't limited to the amount of information she can teach them. Sophia is excited to go there. I reluctantly signed her up for it, because I was looking forward to the fact I would only lose her for half of the day. But I realized how selfish it would be for me to keep her from being able to do something she loves, which is to learn. She really enjoys learning. When she graduated from preschool Ms. Sarah gave all the kids their Homework books. Which were the left over workbook pages from the books she used. Sophia was so excited to do that workbook. She was even in her bed one night with a flashlight doing it. Her excitement for that made me realize I made the right choice. Besides I can pull her out whenever I want and make special Mother/Daughter days out of it! I just love her so much, and can't believe how fast time has flown, and how my life is changing. Now I have a YW down to a Kindergartner!
