A few of our Christmas Family traditions include making a gingerbread house and going to look at Christmas lights. We always go visit one house in particular, that is about 5 minutes from our house. This year the lady had less blow ups due to a lack of donations, and she had the yard roped off. Typically, you could walk around and look at everything. Our kids got some special treatment. They untied the "rope" and took them around the yard. The guy kept saying, "Come take a picture in front of this one.. and this one, etc." They were good sports about it!
This was Ethan's favorite! Gingerbread House Making!
BUSTED!!!
Ok, I know some of you are saying, "That doesn't count for making a gingerbread house!" But I have tried it the old fashion way, and I like this better. No searching and buying up different candies, and who cares if the gingerbread is homemade. No one ever eats the thing anyway. Its all about decorating and creating and sitting on the counter till Christmas Day! Ethan, Aubrie and I started it, and Aubrie took much pride in doing most of the candy decorating! Sophia did a lot of the candy eating. Each day our Gingerbread house had less decorations!
